Beirut, March 2 (SANA) – The United States’ Embassy in Beirut on Monday urged its citizens to leave the country immediately due to volatile security conditions and growing regional instability.

In a statement, the embassy also advised against travel to Lebanon at this time, recommending that those who choose to remain prepare emergency plans and be ready to shelter in place should the situation deteriorate.

The embassy noted that commercial flights are still operating but warned they could be cancelled at short notice, urging US nationals to monitor travel options continuously.

It also announced the suspension of all consular services until further notice, stating that it is currently unable to provide assistance to US citizens inside Lebanon.

The advisory came after Israeli airstrikes early Monday targeted Hezbollah militia leaders, positions and military infrastructure in Lebanon, including areas in Beirut’s southern suburbs, following rocket and drone launches toward southern Haifa.
