Manama, March 1 (SANA) British Prime Minister Keir Starmer expressed support for Bahrain during a phone call with King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on Sunday, condemning the recent Iranian attacks on the Gulf state.

According to Bahrain’s state news agency, Starmer reiterated Britain’s backing for Bahrain’s efforts to safeguard its sovereignty, security and stability. The Bahraini King thanked the United Kingdom for its support, the agency said.

The call comes amid heightened regional tensions following a joint U.S.-Israeli strike on Iran. Bahrain, along with Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Jordan, has reported repeated missile and drone attacks from Iran.
