8 new breaches of cessation of hostilities observed in the countryside of Damascus and Lattakia

Lattakia, SANA – The number of breaches of the cessation of hostilities agreement in Syria has reached 1134 since the agreement came into effect on February 27th, after 8 new breaches were observed over the past 24 hours.

The Hmeimim-based Russian Coordination Center monitoring the agreement said in a statement that terrorists of the so-called “Jaish al-Islam” attacked with mortar rounds many areas in Damascus countryside, including Hawsh Nasri, Hawsh Kherabo, Erbin and al-Qasir farm.

The center added that terrorists of the so-called “Ahrar al-Sham” attacked Barrouma and Toubal villages in Lattakia using drones loaded with explosives.

Meanwhile, four new villages in Lattakia joined the cessation of hostilities agreement, raising the total number of towns and areas that are part of the agreement to 534, according to the center.

The center noted that ISIS and Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists continue their attempts to undermine the agreement as they targeted with handmade rocket launchers, guided missiles and tanks al-Ansari neighborhood and Qrahi village in Aleppo.

The cessation of hostilities agreement doesn’t include ISIS, Jabhat al-Nusra or other groups designated as terrorist organizations by the UN Security Council.
