Kazan, SANA, Damascus University signed a number of research, teaching and scientific cooperation agreements with Tatarstan Universities, Academies and Institutions.
The agreements, Signed by Dr. Mohamad Hassan al-Kurdi, Rector of Damascus University, Dr. Tawfeeq al-Bouti representing ministry of Endowment and Mufti of Tatarstan Sheikh Kamil Samigullin at Science Academy of Tatarstan in Tatarstan capital of Kazan.
The agreements include a scientific cooperation one between Al-Sham institute with Bulgar Islamic Academy and another between Sharia’ College at Damascus University with the same Tatarstan academy.
Rector Al-Kurdi told SANA reporter in Moscow that other scientific agreements were signed in the field architecture, civil engineering and other science with the University of Kazan which stipulates for exchanging students, professors, information and publications between the two universities.
For his part, Sheikh Samigullin said we have good cooperation relations with Damascus University and we participated last year in a scientific forum for the Martyr Mohamad Said Ramadan al-Bouti as well as we want to execute a higher education
system, including MA and Phd in cooperation with Damascus University.
Tatarstan Mufti added that his country will soon issue a new copy of Holy Quran on the basis of the new standard version of the Holy Quran which was adopted earlier in Damascus.
The Republic of Tatarstan is a federal subject of Russia located in the Volga Federal District and its capital is the city of Kazan.
