Damascus, SANA- Interior Minister Mohammad al-Sha’ar discussed on Monday with Ambassador of South Africa in Damascus Shaun Byneveldt means of enhancing relations between the two friendly countries.
The Minister expressed Syria appreciation for the attitudes of South Africa, Its understanding of the crisis in Syria and its support to the Syrians and their cause, and its rejection of foreign intervention in the country.
He affirmed that Syria is determined to combating terrorism to restore all areas that were desecrated by terrorism to the Syrian state.
For his part, Ambassador Byneveldt stressed his country’s firm stance towards the crisis in Syria and the importance of combating terrorism with all its forms by the available means, referring to the victories achieved by the Syrian army against the armed terrorist organizations.
