Damascus, SANA- Grand Mufti of the Republic, Dr. Ahmad Badreddin Hassoun said on Monday that Syria, with the unity of its people and their support to their leadership, “became an example to be followed by other countries.”
Meeting the Czech Deputy State Secretary for Economic Affairs Martin Tlapa and an accompanying delegation, Grand Moufti pointed out to the strong relations connecting Syria and the Czech Republic, hailing the continued presence of Czech diplomatic mission in Syria during the crisis while the majority of EU ambassadors left.
He called upon members of the delegation to convey the reality of what is happening in Syria to Czech people.
In turn, Tlapa reaffirmed his country’s firm stance in support of Syria, saying “Czech will help the Syrians reconstruct their country.”
