Damascus, SANA- Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minister Dr. Fayssal Mikdad affirmed on Sunday that the fierce campaign against the Syrian and Palestinian peoples aims to liquidate the Palestinian cause and end the Palestinian people’s right to return and build their independent state.
During his meeting with a delegation of the Palestinian Fatah Movement headed by member of its central committee Abbas Zaki, Mikdad expressed Syria’s continuous support for the Palestinian cause in confronting the criminal campaign led by international Zionism, the Israeli extremists and their allies in Saudi Arabia and others Arab countries.
Mikdad said that by targeting Palestinian camps in Syria, terrorist organizations are doing the bidding of Israel and the West.
Syria, under the leadership of President Bashar al-Assad, is steadfastness against terrorism despite the upsurge in the terrorist attacks due to the direct military support of Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Jordan and some regional and foreign countries, Mikdad added.
For his part, Zaki said that Palestinian cause is passing through difficult stage due to the extremism and racial policies of Israeli government.
He pointed out that the Palestinian people are proud of the legendary steadfastness of Syrian people and army in combating terrorism.
