Iraqi Foreign Minister, Syrian Ambassador discuss bilateral relations

Baghdad, SANA – Iraqi Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari and Syrian Ambassador in Baghdad Sattam Jadaan al-Dandah held a meeting on Monday and discussed bilateral relations.

Talks during the meeting touched on the progress of Syrian-Iraqi relations and cooperation mechanisms, in addition to the overall situation in the region and the world, with the two sides stressing the need to exert all possible efforts to restore security and stability in the region and the world.

In a statement to SANA’s correspondent, Ambassador al-Dandah said that the meeting is part of the coordination between the two countries that face mutual challenges and confront a vicious terrorist attack, stressing the need for countries that are affected by terrorism to band together to deal with this scourge.
