Iraqi workers express full support for their fellow Syrians in face of terrorism

Damascus, SANA – A delegation of the Iraqi Federation of Trade Unions stressed solidarity with the Syrian people and workers against the foreign-backed terrorist war launched against the country since 2011.

Meeting Chairman of the General Federation of Trade Unions Mohammad Shaaban Azouz, members of the delegation hailed the high level of awareness which the Syrians have shown throughout the crisis as well as their unshakable adherence to national unity, which they said have “unmasked” those who wish Syria ill.

They voiced their confidence that the terrorist acts committed against the people of Syria will not weaken their determination or their will to continue their “struggle”.

“We came to Syria to express our appreciation of the efforts exerted by the Syrian Arab Army in fighting terrorism and the takfiri organizations which are funded by some Arab countries,” said head of the Iraqi delegation Akram Fadel al-Tamimi.

“Syria will remain proud thanks to the wisdom of its leadership and the sacrifices of its people,” he added.

While noting that the struggle of the Iraqi workers goes side by side with that of their fellow Syrians, with both striving to maintain their achievements in the face of the terrorist attack targeting the two countries, al-Tamimi regretted that the Iraqi markets have been affected by the shortage of the Syrian products.

He put that down to the terrorist organizations robbing and looting Syrian factories as part of a systematic policy to undermine the Syrian economy all together.
