Damascus, SANA- The Ministry of Education announced on Monday the results of the Basic Education (9th grade) and Sharia preparatory school certificates for the school year of 2018.
The Ministry said in a statement that 263,704 students took the basic education exams, of whom 175,171 passed at a percentage of 66.43%.
The statement added that 3,617 students took the exams of the Sharia (Islamic education) preparatory certificate, and 2,968 of them passed at a percentage of 82.06%.
Nine students got full marks, according to the statement.
