Damascus, SANA- Education Minister, Darem Tabaa discussed with UNICEF Representative in Syria, Bo Viktor Nylund means of coordinating the joint programs between the two sides and mechanism of enhancing cooperation in serving the educational process in a number of domains.
During the meeting Tabaa stressed the importance of cooperation with the UN Organization to achieve best learning for students and support the educational process.
He pointed out the importance of Syria’s virtual participation in the preparatory meeting for the Transforming Education Summit which was held recently in Paris.
The Minister also stressed the importance of supporting the “UNESCO” and “UNICEF” for direct participation of a number of Syrian youth in the Transforming Education Summit which will be held in next September.
Minister Tabaa referred to the possibility of conducting an experimental study, supported by the UNICEF, on the measures to protect the students from the dangers of drugs.
For his part, Nylund hailed the fruitful cooperation with the Ministry, particularly in the field of the interactive activity, asserting the UN organization’s support to the education in Syria and developing it, in addition to rehabilitating the schools and ensuring their requirements.
