Damascus, SANA-Prime Minister Imad Khamis said that the government started to establish 12 areas for craft industries as part of its strategy to set up 60 areas in all provinces.
During meeting with the members of the Executive Council of the General Federation of Craftsmen, Khamis said that the first 100 craftsmen who will return to any of the areas will be granted a loan of SYP 2 million to encourage them to start working.
The meeting also focused on the government’s strategy to promote craft industries, including the rehabilitation of crafts and industrial areas affected by terrorism, securing required logistic services and providing all facilitations for craftsmen in addition to granting loans and amending legislatives related to these industries.
