Premier Khamis visits Damascus International Fair, stresses government’s’ support to local industry

Damascus, SANA – Prime Minister Imad Khamis paid a visit to Damascus International Fair on Tuesday in its 6th day, touring several pavilions and meeting several industrialists and businessmen where he was briefed on their recommendations related to governmental facilities.

In the Syrian pavilion, Premier Khamis inspected the sections of the Ministries, institutes, and the industrial and agricultural exhibits as well as the media center of the Fair.

He was also briefed on the export contracts signed during the Fair, lauding the reliability and reputation the Syrian product is enjoying in the local and international markets.

The Prime Minister clarified that there is a package of procedures taken by the government to support the local industry and achieve economic development including exportation incentives, customs duties reduction, and provision of loans and facilities to owners of affected facilities, as well as free shipping for export contracts signed at the Fair and the facilitation of all administrative procedures relating to the signing of such contracts.
