Aleppo, SANA – The activities of the ninth Woman and Family festival, organized by the Businesswomen Committee of Aleppo Chamber of Commerce, kicked off on Thursday at Shahba Hotel in Aleppo city.
More than 300 businesswomen are taking part in the festival.
The four-day festival included an exhibition of traditional industries, clothing and cotton items, embroideries, perfumes, cosmetics, food and sweets, in addition to exhibits which reflect the Aleppo’s deep-rooted civilization and the skills of its businesswomen.
The Chairman of the Aleppo Chamber of Commerce, Majd Eddin Dabbagh, stressed the Chamber’s keenness to support the festival, affirming the important role of women as real partners in the economic process and the activation of the economic and commercial motion side by side with men.
The Businesswomen Committee of Aleppo Chamber of Commerce was established in 2001 to support women and develop their capabilities and talents through holding training courses and workshops.
