Prime Minister meets Aleppo Chamber of Commerce delegation

Damascus, SANA-Prime Minister Imad Khamis chaired on Wednesday a meeting with the Chairman and members of Aleppo Chamber of Commerce board of directors in which they discussed outlining plans to activate economic, commercial and industrial sectors in the city of Aleppo.

They also discussed means to promote the Chamber’s performance as it represents one of the most important partners in the development process and activating the joint roles of the businessmen sector and the government.

For his part, Khamis affirmed the government’s readiness to overcome the obstacles and challenges and to provide the necessary facilitations and guarantees to make a real leap in the performance of the economic sectors in Aleppo with a view to achieve a radical change in this sector to play a leading role in the development process with the participation of governmental sectors, as well as seeking to ensure the return of commercial activity in Aleppo to its previous status.

He pointed out to the main role of the members of Aleppo Chamber of Commerce in starting the production process and commencing work again in the factories.

The talks also focused on finding balanced mechanisms to deal with stalled loans and to support small-sized projects and workshops in addition to evaluating the damage done to plants in the industrial areas and cities.
