Raqqa, Feb. 5 (SANA) Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Hind Kabawat and Raqqa Governor Abdul Rahman Salama discussed, during a meeting with persons with disabilities and representatives of local and civil society organizations, the state of social work in the province and possible ways to improve support for various groups in need.
The meeting reviewed the challenges facing persons with disabilities and other vulnerable groups, particularly in the areas of social care, empowerment, and access to basic services. It also addressed the role of civil society organizations in supporting government efforts and enhancing coordination in social work.
Minister Kabawat listened directly to the needs of beneficiary groups to help develop social programs, improve the quality of services provided, and set priorities for the current phase.
The meeting comes as part of ongoing follow-up on the state of social work in the provinces, particularly Deir Ezzor, Raqqa, and Hasakah, following the restoration of government control under an agreement with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
