Aleppo, March 6 (SANA)– Syrian Civil Defense teams recovered the bodies of a man and a woman from the rubble of a five-storey residential building that collapsed Friday in Aleppo’s al-Ashrafieh district. Search crews are continuing efforts to reach others believed to be trapped.
Initial estimates suggest that about ten people remain under the debris, including a family of seven.
Authorities said parts of a neighbouring building also collapsed, raising concerns about further structural failures and complicating rescue operations.

Emergency teams evacuated nearby buildings as a precaution. Faisal Mohammad Ali, head of operations at Aleppo’s Emergency Directorate, said search efforts are being carried out under strict safety protocols to protect both residents and rescue workers.
The collapse follows earlier warnings about unstable buildings in several parts of Aleppo, where some structures have been evacuated or reinforced by engineering teams.
