US: Military operations against Iran to continue until its military threat ends
US Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth

Washington, March 2 (SANA) – US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth said military operations conducted by the United States and Israel against Iran will continue until Tehran’s missile and military capabilities are neutralized and it is prevented from acquiring a nuclear weapon.

Speaking at a press conference on Monday, Hegseth stated that Iran retains the ability to conduct long-range strikes, adding that Washington’s objective is “clear and decisive,” namely dismantling Iran’s missile threat, targeting its naval capabilities, and blocking any path toward nuclear armament.

He accused Iran of developing a large arsenal of missiles and drones aimed at protecting its nuclear ambitions, stressing that the ongoing operation seeks to deny Tehran the ability to achieve those goals.

Hegseth added that the campaign “is not an endless war,” saying the United States intends to conclude it under policies aligned with the “America First” approach promoted by President Donald Trump.
