Aleppo, March. 7 (SANA) The General Authority of Civil Aviation and Air Transport announced the operation of a number of Syrian Airlines flights departing from Aleppo International Airport to several regional destinations, as part of ongoing operational assessments of the airspace.
In a statement on Friday, the authority said the approval was granted through an approved air route over the Mediterranean Sea, which was determined following a technical study to ensure the highest civil aviation safety standards.
The authority’s approved flight schedule includes flights to and from Riyadh, Istanbul and Jeddah from Saturday, March 7 through Monday, March 9.
The General Authority of Civil Aviation and Air Transport had earlier announced on March 3 the reopening of Aleppo International Airport and the operation of air corridors in the northern sector of Syrian airspace toward Türkiye, while the rest of the air corridors and Damascus International Airport will remain closed until further notice.
