Russian defense Minister: Humanitarian aid process continues in Aleppo

Moscow, SANA- Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu said on Monday that the humanitarian aid convoys enter Aleppo city continuously in parallel with mending water pumping stations and sewage pipes and establishing field hospitals in all safe areas in Aleppo in addition to evacuating patients.

Shoigu, in a statement to Russia 24 Channel, denied allegations that describe the military operation carried out by the Syrian Arab Army, supported by the Russian Air Force in Aleppo, as a form of siege.

He affirmed that Russia and the United States are close to finding a formula which will allow restoring security to Aleppo city, adding “We entered an important phase of negotiations with US partners in Geneva and Amman and we are in constant contact with Washington.”

“All proposals being discussed by Russia and the United States aim at maintaining the territorial integrity of the Syria, defeating terrorism and starting an intra-Syrian dialogue, Shoigu added.
