Damascus, SANA- Speaker of People’s Assembly Hadiyeh Khalaf Abbas stressed the important role of clerics in transferring the true image of what is happening in Syria to the world public opinion and exerting efforts to confront the takfiri terrorist thought and all those who contribute to supporting it in the world.

During her meeting with Archbishop of Nova Justiniana and All Cyprus Chrysostomos II, Abbas said that the Syrian people are engaged in a dangerous battle against terrorism in all its forms, which is represented in one of its aspects by cutting ties and unfair economic sanctions, pointing to the negative effects of the wrong policies of the European countries on their security and stability.

In turn, the Archbishop of Cyprus said that he will convey to the President and the people of Cyprus the facts about what is happening in Syria.
