Cham Wings runs flights to Iraq’s Basra

Damascus, SANA – Cham Wings Airlines announced on Saturday that it started running flights between Damascus and Basra city in Iraq.

The company’s commercial director Nizar Suleiman told SANA in a statement that Cham Wings Airlines will run one flight daily to Basra International Airport, adding that the number of flights could increase according to demand.

Nizar noted that the company will soon add the shipping service to help boost trade exchange and export movement between Syria and Iraq.

Flights run by the privately-owned company include between Damascus and each of Baghdad, Najaf, Beirut, Kuwait, Doha, Dubai, Istanbul, Khartoum, Tehran and Muscat, in addition to the internal flights between Damascus and Qamishli in the northeastern Hasaka province.
