Electricity back to Hasaka after 4-day outage

Hasaka, SANA – Electric power returned to the northeastern Hasaka province on Thursday after a 4-day outage caused due to a technical failure at the station of Tishreen Dam.

Head of Power Transfer Department in Hasaka Ghassan Darwish said in a statement to SANA reporter that electricity was back after repairing the technical failure at the station by the maintenance teams, affirming that the power supply in the province is stable.

Darwish noted that the technical teams are currently working on repairing line 66 that links the main station and al-Shaddadi city which was damaged due to terrorist attacks, in order to re-supply Hasaka southern areas with electricity.

He added that a part of the main station in Hasaka has already been fixed and that work is underway to complete the repair.
