6000 hectares cultivated with cotton in Hasaka

Hasaka, SANA-The farmers of Hasaka province continue to cultivate their lands with cotton crop, as the cultivated area amounted to 6000 hectares up till now in different areas of agricultural stability.

Head of the Department of Plant Production of Agriculture Directorate Jalal Bilal told SANA reporter that the demand for planting of the summer strategic crop continues by farmers in various areas of agricultural stability where stable water resources are available cotton in Hasaka and Qamishli countryside.

During the last season, the area cultivated with cotton crop reached up 5910 hectares in different areas of the province.
