Damascus, SANA- Temperatures continue to drop to become lower than average from 6 to 9 degrees as the country is still being affected by a low air pressure accompanied by wet and cold air currents in all layers of the atmosphere.
The Meteorology department expected in its Tuesday bulletin that the skies are partly cloudy in general; rain showers and snow are expected over the southern and southwestern areas.
The department said that the weather will be very cold at night, warning against the formation of frost, ice and fog in various areas across the country.
The winds are eastern to northeastern of light to moderate speed, while the sea waves will be of low amplitude.
On Wednesday, no change occurs in the prevailing weather condition.
For its part, the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reforms said, in its rain bulletin, that rain falls during the past 24 hours in various areas across the country. The heaviest rain amounts were: 10mm in Sweida, 4mm in Damascus Countryside
and 1mm in Tartous.
The expected temperatures in some main Syrian cities are as follows: Damascus 06/-02, Daraa 05/-02, Homs 04/-02, Hama 06/-02, Hasaka 05/-03, Lattakia 10/06, Aleppo 04/-02, Deir Ezzor 07/-02.
