Aleppo Governor and UNICEF discuss joint cooperation to assist families affected by terrorism

Aleppo, SANA- Aleppo Governor Dr. Mohammad Marwan Olabi discussed on Saturday with deputy representative of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in Syria Myrna Yacob the humanitarian and relief work and means of activating joint cooperation to help families affected by terrorism.

The Governor pointed out the cooperation with UNICEF and the organization’s efforts to enhance services of childhood, education, water and other services that are part of the government’s efforts to serve families affected by terrorism, expressing full readiness to provide support and facilitations for the international humanitarian organizations to enable them to perform their missions.

Governor Olabi pointed out efforts by the province and all parties that are working in the relief field to meet the needs of the affected families.

For her part, Yacob said that her visit to Aleppo comes within the framework of following up the situation on the ground to implement UNICEF plans, look closely at the facts and discuss areas of cooperation, noting that she visited many makeshift centers and noticed the great efforts made by the province and other parties to help affected families, pointing out the facilitations and support offered by Aleppo province to UNICEF.
