Provinces, SANA – A terrorist car bomb explosion took place in al-Zahraa neighborhood in the city of Homs on Tuesday, leaving civilian casualties.
A source at Homs Police Command told SANA the car bomb went off in al-Sitin Street in the neighborhood, killing a civilian and leaving 12 others injured, in addition to causing material damage to the citizens’ properties.
Neighborhoods in Homs city have been on the receiving end of terrorist attacks recently that are aimed at disturbing stability there.
The latest such attack took place in al-Zahraa neighborhood on Sunday when a an explosive device attached to a car killed a citizen.

In a relevant context, terrorists fired mortar shells on al-Wafideen Camp neighborhood in Damascus Countryside, leaving a civilian dead and 3 others injured.
According to a Police Command source, the casualties took place in al-Thawra quarter in the neighborhood as two mortar shells fired by terrorists from “Jaish al-Islam” landed there.
The source added that the attack caused material damage to a number of houses in the neighborhood, which is home to thousands of people displaced from the Golan following the Israeli occupation in 1967.
On a relevant note, terrorists fired two mortar shells at the residential area of Abu Rummana in Damascus city on Tuesday, causing only material damage.
A source at Damascus Police Command told SANA that two mortar shells fired by terrorists fell in the surrounding of Dama Rose Hotel in Abu Remmaneh area, resulting in material damage, but thankfully there were no injuries among civilians.
