Sweida, SANA – Popular defense groups confiscated on Sunday night shoulder-fired missiles and mortar, rocket and RBG shells in the eastern countryside of the southern Sweida province.
A source at Sweida Governorate told SANA reporter that the weapons and ammunition seized were carried in a car that was heading towards Eastern al-Badiya desert in Dahr al-Jabal area.
Large amounts of rocket propellant mass and mortar and RPG shells were seized two days ago in an ambush by the popular defense groups in an area between the villages of Rudeimet al-Liwa and Lahitha in the northern countryside of Sweida.
