Damascus, SANA – Health Minister Nizar Yazigi and Representative of the World Health Organization (WHO) Elizabeth Hoff on Sunday discussed the priorities of the cooperation program between the two sides for the years 2016 and 2017.
The Health Minister clarified the importance that the cooperation program focus on the urgent needs for preserving the public health and providing healthcare of different levels to citizens including the emergency services, expressing appreciation for the technical support provided by WHO for the health sector and hope for boosting cooperation in all fields.
For her part, Hoff expressed the WHO readiness to cover the needs of the health sector in Syria and provide the technical support for upgrading it as well as going ahead in providing basic health services to citizens in all areas around the country.
