Lattakia, SANA- Members of a French delegation who is currently visiting Syria affirmed Sunday that Syria is on the frontline of the battle in defense of the world against terrorism, expressing their solidarity with and support for the Syrian people against terrorism.
During their meeting with Lattakia Governor Ibrahim Khuder al-Salem, the delegation members hailed the co-existence and tolerance among the Syrian people, stressing that they intend to convey the true image of what is happening in Syria and the damage caused by terrorists to the French people.
In a press statement following the meeting, al-Salem said that the frequent visits by French delegations to Syria prove that the French people are convinced that their media is conveying an image which is completely different from reality.
The delegation members said they came to Syria to have a first-hand look at the situation in it away from Western media fabrications and to show support for Syria which is in the middle of a terrorist war waged against it.
This is the second visit to Lattakia by a French delegation. A group of French tourists visited Syria earlier this month to show solidarity with the Syrian people.
