Tehran, SANA- Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has renewed his country’s call for a halt to the crimes of the Zionist entity in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon, slamming as “a disaster”
the US obstruction of a Security Council draft resolution against the Israeli entity.
In a phone call with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi, Araghchi stressed “the need to intensify diplomatic efforts and initiatives with various regional and international parties to prevent escalation of tension and insecurity in the West Asian region”, welcoming China’s role in helping to maintain regional peace and security.
For his part, the Chinese Foreign Minister stressed the need to prevent the escalation of tensions in the region.
