Brussels, SANA- Josep Borrell, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy has condemned the Israeli shelling of displaced Palestinians in the center of the war-ravaged Gaza Strip.
“I condemn new strikes launched by the Israeli occupation forces on a hospital and a school serving as shelters in central Gaza. Dozens of civilians seeking safety were martyred and injured in dreadful circumstances,” Borrell said in a post on X platform.
On a related note, UNRWA Commissioner General Philippe Lazzarini said: “Civilians in northern Gaza have been given no choice but to leave the area or starve themselves”, warning that the health system in northern Gaza is almost collapsed.
Lazzarini added that the occupation forces had not allowed the United Nations to provide any aid in the area, including food, since September 30.
