Damascus, SANA – More aid supplies were delivered Thursday in the terrorists-besieged Yarmouk Camp neighborhood in southern Damascus.
251 food packages, containing bread, sugar, and food supplements, were distributed to the residents, while 31 patients were evacuated from the neighborhood and taken to hospitals in Damascus city.
The distribution was carried out by the General Authority for Palestine Arab Refugees (GAPAR) and
the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) with the full support
and help of the Syrian government.
Director-General of GAPAR Ali Mustafa told SANA that the food packages were distributed at sites
in Palestine Street near Yarmouk Municipality and in Nisreen Street in al-Tadamon neighborhood.
He noted that 5054 food packages have been distributed since aid distribution was resumed on
March 5th, 2015.
A total of 61084 food packages and 11618 health packages have been distributed in the neighborhood
since January 30th, 2014.
The number of people evacuated for treatment since January 2014 has amounted to 4804.
