GAPAR distributes financial assistance to 3348 families of martyrs

Damascus, SANA The General Authority for Palestinian Arab Refugees (GAPAR) distributed financial assistance with a total of SYP 8,450 million for 3348 families of the martyrs and injured persons who were affected by the attacks of the armed terrorist organizations in addition to sick people and displaced families.

GAPAR’s Director General Ali Mustafa told SANA Sunday that the commission will resume distributing assistance for the remaining families during the upcoming days.

Mustafa added that the total amount of financial assistance distributed since the beginning of 2015 up till now reached SYP 21 million covering 8150 families.

Members of the GAPAR toured during Aid al- Adha holiday a number of the makeshift centers and distributed financial assistance to the children and the students, according to Mustafa.

A number of the Palestinian refugees thanked the Syrian government, leadership and people for embracing them.

On September 23th, The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) in coordination with GAPAR and sponsored by the Syrian government and supervised by the Higher Relief Committee, distributed medical aid to the locals of al-Yarmouk refugee camp near Damascus who have left the camp due to the acts of terrorist groups, mainly the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) and resided in the villages of Yalda, Babila and Bait Sahem in the countryside of Damascus.
