Two silver, one bronze medals for Syria at the International Chemistry Olympiad

Damascus, SANA-Students of the Syrian Science Olympiad have obtained two silver, one bronze medals in the 2024 International Chemistry Olympiad, which was hosted by Saudi Arabia during the period between the 21st and 29th of July this month.

Distinction and Creativity Agency said in a statement, that the two silver medals were gained by the Syrian students Salma Omran from Homs and Alaa Athan from Damascus, while the bronze medal was gained by student Fatima Hassan from the third secondary grade in Damascus.

It added that the Syrian team won first place for the second year in a row among the participating Arab countries, including the organizing country.
