Raisi: Iran’s response to attack on its consulate in Damascus broke Zionist entity’s arrogance

Tehran, SANA- Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi has affirmed that the “True Promise” operation, which came in response to the Zionist attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, broke the Zionist entity’s dominance and arrogance, and its constant talk about its deterrent power.

President Raisi made the remarks at the parade of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army on the occasion of National Army Day.

“This operation showed that our armed forces are ready to respond to any attack,” Iranian News Agency (IRNA) quoted Raisi as saying.

The Iranian President stressed that the operation was a was “limited” and “punitive” and within international frameworks.

Raisi noted that any attack on Iran’s interests will be met with a more decisive and resolute response.

He added that “there is no longer any talk about a military option against Iran by the enemies, and this is important because of the deterrence power and capability that our armed forces enjoy.”

“Our army is a skilled and trained one,” the Iranian President said. “The army is equipped with modern innovations and technologies. The equipment that had to be maintained by other countries before the Islamic Revolution is being updated today by the capable hands of our armed forces and army.”

He further noted that “our armed forces are the sources of the country’s authority,” adding that regional forces can “rely on our armed forces.”
