Violent clashes in Khartoum, the Sudanese capital

Khartoum, SANA- The Sudanese capital Khartoum and other cities were the scene of clashes between the Sudanese Army forces and the Rapid Support Forces, which have resulted in several military and civilian casualties so far.

The two sides exchanged accusations about the cause of these clashes, since the Sudanese army announced in a statement published by the Sudanese media outlets, that “the Rapid Support Forces attacked many of their bases in Khartoum and other areas in Sudan, which caused the outbreak of fighting that is still going on in many places”.

Both parties accuse each other of the start of hostilities.

Explosions and shootings were heard in various areas of the Sudanese’s capital, while Khartoum international airport stopped receiving flights amid clashes.
