Syrian-Iranian talks on enhancing cultural and educational cooperation

Tehran, SANA- Culture Minister, Lubana Mshaweh, discussed Tuesday with Iranian Education Minister, Yousef Nouri, means of bolstering educational and cultural bilateral relations.

During the meeting, Mshaweh declared that the ministry undertook literacy task to support Ministry of Education, through directorates of the Child Culture, Adult Education and Cultural Development, to afford education to forcibly displaced children and adults affected by the crisis through UNESCO Programme supporting the education in Syria.

Minister Mshaweh drew the attention to nurturing artistic and musical talents of children aged between 6-17 in Syria as well as submitting academic curriculums.

Minster Nouri, for his part, gave a presentation on Iranian ministry’s programs and activities across the country to support talents, film industry and animation dedicated for children.

He pointed out to experience exchange between both countries by taking the advantage of the internet search engine launched by Iran that is specialized for children, besides benefiting from the successful Syrian experience in teaching Arabic language.

The two sides agreed upon exchanging experiences in various fields related to child development during the Iranian Culture Week held in Damascus.
