Al-Moallem: Moscow meetings aim at agreeing on inter-Syrian dialogue

Damascus, SANA – Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and Expatriates Minister Walid al-Moallem said Moscow meetings aim at coming to agreement on holding an inter-Syrian dialogue without foreign intervention or dictations.

Al-Moallem was speaking during a Cabinet’s weekly meeting on Tuesday, headed by Prime Minister Wael al-Halaqi, where he presented a comprehensive review on the latest political developments in the international arena.

The Minister indicated a shift in the western position in favor of the stance of the Syrian people and state, referring to the West’s understanding of the nature of the terrorist war against Syria and the repercussions of its spread to their countries.

For his part, Premier al-Halaqi highlighted the procedures taken by the government for rationalizing subsidies policy, combating corruption and securing oil derivatives to meet the citizens’ needs.

Several draft laws were also on the table for discussion at the Cabinet’s meeting.
