Jordanian Prime Minister affirms importance of enhancing cooperation with Syria

Amman, SANA- Jordanian Prime Minister Bishr al-Khasawneh stressed the importance of enhancing relations of cooperation and coordination between Jordan and Syria in various fields to serve the common interests of the two countries and brotherly peoples.

Al-Khasawneh, meeting Syrian ministerial delegation, called for reflecting the recent meetings and visits between the two countries into projects that benefit the two brotherly peoples and contribute to boosting historic brotherly relations that gather Jordan and Syria, wishing Syria to enjoy more security and stability.

He also discussed with the delegation the possibility of speeding up efforts to transport the Egyptian gas and electricity to Lebanon through Jordan and Syria through rehabilitating the electrical network in the Syrian territory.

In turn, members of the Syrian delegation briefed al-Khasawneh on the meetings held with the Jordanian ministers in the fields of transport, trade, water, agriculture and energy.
