Syria provided oxygen to Lebanon on humanitarian basis without conditions, Hassan says

Beirut, SANA- Lebanese caretaker Health Minister Hamad Hassan has affirmed that Syria provided oxygen to Lebanon’s hospitals on a humanitarian basis and without any conditions.

He renewed thanks for the Syrian leadership and people for this initiative, which has contributed to saving the lives of many Coronavirus patients.

“Syria gave us oxygen from its health quota despite its difficult conditions, and it gave us this gift without any restrictions or conditions, and what happened was a humanitarian and moral action in all sense of the word,” Hassan said in a press statement on Monday.

President Bashar al-Assad had directed the Ministry of Health on the 24th of this month to secure 75 tons of oxygen to Lebanon over a period of three days, at a rate of 25 tons every day after hospitals were empty of oxygen and in light of the presence of hundreds of patients infected with Coronavirus on ventilators.
