Occupied Jerusalem, SANA- Health and environmental disaster threaten more than 700 thousand Palestinians in Deir al-Balah city of central Gaza as sewage treatment plants had stopped work as a result of running out of the needed fuel for operation in light of the Israeli occupation’s prevention from fuel delivery.
Deir al-Balah city Municipality warned that if the required quantity of fuel wasn’t available during the few next hours, that would lead to a disaster in the city because of street flooded with sewage water, calling on the international community and all international organizations for urgent respond to save hundreds of thousands of Palestinians in the city.
Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor affirmed that the occupation’s aggression led to the disruption of all wastewater treatment stations and systems in the Strip, shutdown of 65 sewage pumps, and destruction of 70 km of sewage network and More than 1,730,000 cases of infectious diseases were recorded.
Palestinians continuously call on the international institutions and organizations for urgent and immediate Intervention to stop the aggression and save what remains of the necessities of life in Gaza Strip.
