Damascus, SANA-The Syrian government stressed that massacres in the Gaza Strip are being committed before the eyes of the United States and Western countries, and denounced that so-called initiatives to stop such atrocious acts only seek to give more time to the criminal Zionist government to complete their dirty goal of exterminating the Palestinian people.
“The criminal Israeli forces committed more than five massacres against the Palestinian people today, resulting in the martyrdom of more than 112 Palestinians, most of whom are children, women, the elderly and the disabled,” Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said in a statement.
It added that “the continuous crimes committed by the occupation forces for more than ten months are being committed in full view of the United States and Western countries that claim to be working to stop the Israeli massacres and prevent the Israeli fascists from continuing their crimes.”
The Foreign Ministry explained that Syria followed the so-called “initiatives” to stop the Israeli massacres, but it was aware that all of this was nothing more than mere illusions and an attempt to allow more time for the criminal Zionist government to continue its crimes against the Palestinian people and complete the mission announced by the Israeli murderous government, which is to exterminate this people, whether in the Gaza Strip or the West Bank.
The Foreign Ministry pointed out that the number of Palestinian martyrs announced to date is close to 40,000 martyrs who died under the rubble of their homes, in the streets, and even in the camps that the Israeli occupation forces forced them to go to the facts have shown that “Israel” aimed to gather the Palestinians in order to finish them off and eliminate them.
It demanded that the international community not remain silent in the face of the escalation of Zionist massacres and stressed the need to force “Israel” to comply with international law.
Syria supports the Palestinian people until they regain their rights and demands a global awakening of conscience and to work diligently to stop Israel’s crimes, the Ministry concluded its statement.
