Damascus, SANA – The Cabinet on Tuesday ratified the cooperation agreement on customs signed by the Russian and Syrian governments in Sochi on October 24th, and approved a bill on the rights of people with disabilities.
The Cabinet also approved selling 383 dunams (383,000 square meters) of land in Hama countryside to the Military Housing Establishment to build a housing project on it.
The Ministers discussed the state of economy and services, specifically issues related to providing fuel and food and challenges affecting the transport, electricity, and drinking water sectors, with Prime Minister Wael al-Halqi asserting that the government will not allow anyone to destabilize the Syrian Pound exchange rate and national economy.
The Cabinet offered congratulations to the Syrian people on occasion of the upcoming Christmas, the New Year, and the Birth of Prophet Mohammad holidays, voicing hope that 2015 will be the year when terrorism is defeated and security is restored to Syria.
