Trial period for accessing “Springer” and “EBCSO” e-libraries at governmental universities

Damascus, SANA, Ministry of Higher Education has launched a trial period for accessing “EBCSO” and “Springer” international e-libraries by governmental universities for free to allow them benefit from millions of resources, references and periodicals in various domains and specialties.

The two-month experimental period opens the door wide before the governmental universities of Damascus, Aleppo, Tishreen, al-Baath and al-Furat to access these digital libraries locally without a user name or pass word.

“EBSCO” provides a complete and optimized research solution comprised of research databases, e-books and e-journals—all combined with the most powerful discovery service and management resources to support the information and collection development needs of libraries and other institutions and to maximize the search experience for researchers and other end users.

It offers more than 375 full-text and secondary research databases and over 550,000 e-books in the domains of money, business, arts, architectural engineering, telecommunications, technology, computer and economy, in addition to learning, humanitarian sciences, literature and sports medicine.

While “Springer” provides researchers with access to more than 5 millions of scientific documents from journals, books, series, protocols and reference works.
