Damascus, SANA – The artistic program presented by the National Orchestra for Oriental Music on al-Hamra Theatre Sunday, took the audience on a journey all over the Syrian areas through a various range of musical pieces that represent each area.
The music performed was rich with the national and historical heritage which reflects the Syrian music bearing amity and fraternity.
Harmony between the human voice and the sounds of the instruments and between the orchestra members themselves was translated into a high sense of beauty that gained the audience’s applause.
The Band, led by Maestro Nazih al-Asa’ad, was first founded in 2012 under the patronage of Music and Theaters Directorate at Ministry of Culture. It performs Arabic music in particular and oriental in general combining the classic and modern styles.
