Cabinet discusses efforts to put Damascus-Aleppo international highway in service

Damascus, SANA- The cabinet discussed on Sunday the mechanism for the distribution of cooking gas cylinders via the services card and the necessary measures to ensure that gas is provided to all the citizens in the optimal way.

The Cabinet, during its weekly session chaired by Prime Minister Imad Khamis, instructed the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources to increase the cooking gas production capacity in light of the arrival of new supplies.

The Cabinet also requested the Ministry to speed up the pace of rehabilitating facilities and refineries which were damaged due to terrorist attacks.

The cabinet requested that the Transportation Ministry and Local Administration and Environment Ministry intensify efforts aimed at ending the primary rehabilitation of the Damascus-Aleppo international highway, which had been liberated by the Syrian Arab Army from terrorism, so that it can be put in service in the upcoming days, in addition to requesting the Electrical Ministry to start rehabilitating the Hama-Aleppo power line.
