Damascus, SANA – The Cabinet set the local economic development directives for 2020, which focus on the agricultural sector, industrial production, relying on local products instead of imports, expanding small and medium-sized projects and rural family projects, and revitalizing public and private investment.
During its weekly session on Sunday chaired by Prime Minister Imad Khamis, the Cabinet approved the agricultural support strategy devised by the Agriculture Ministry as part of the self-reliance and self-sufficiency strategy.
Communications and Technology Minister Iyad al-Khatib briefed the Cabinet on the e-payment system, saying that its infrastructure is now ready.
