Damascus, SANA – The Cabinet decided to expand the operations of the Syrian Trading company and increase the number of its outlets in all provinces to 3000 within 3 months.
During its weekly session on Sunday chaired by Prime Minister Imad Khamis, the Cabinet asserted that the government will continue subsidizing essential materials and improve national industry and production, as well as reducing costs of production to help lower the prices of local products.
The Cabinet also tasked the economic committee with assessing the results of the 61st Damascus International Fair in terms of import and export contracts, calling for providing all possible facilitations to ensure the implementation of these contracts.
Other issues that were discussed include the status of the General Establishment of Social Securities, setting a specific timetable for completing youth housing projects, and progress in implementing services and development projects in the liberated rural areas in Raqqa province.
