Lt. Gen. Ayyoub visits army units in Hama’s northwestern countryside

Hama, SANA – Upon the directions of President Bashar al-Assad the Commander-in-Chief of the Army and Armed Forces, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Army and Armed Forces, Defense Minister Lt. Gen. Ali Abdullah Ayyoub on Wednesday visited army units stationed in the northwestern countryside of Hama province.

Ayyoub, accompanied by senior officers, met the soldiers in their positions and relayed to them the best wishes of President al-Assad on occasion of Eid al-Fitr holiday.

Field commanders briefed the Defense Minister about the details of the operations conducted in the area, with Ayyoub praising their efforts in the fight against terrorism.

Ayyoub concluded the visit by meting pilots, praising their high skill and their commitment to protecting the country and its citizens.

The Deputy Commander-in-Chief also visited injured army personnel at the Military Hospital in Homs, wishing them a swift recovery and praising their high morale and willpower.
